27 February 2019 |

On 18, 19, 20 February 2019, EURALIUS in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice organized three training (one day each) for public officials involved in the pre-screening process in regard to Directives listed under Chapter 23, 24 (judiciary, human rights and anti-corruption).

Through landmark decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union the participants were made acquainted with the standards and requirements to transpose EU Law, in particular EU Directives. Tables of Concordance were presented as tool for carrying out a legal gap analysis. In the frame of these training, the participants received guidance on how to undertake a transposition assessment of some of the provisions of the Directive 2012/13/EU on the Right to Information in Criminal Proceedings. The training took place in Tirana and was attended by 40 public officials who highly appreciated the practical approach of the training.
